Delegates to OCLC Global Council serve a term of three years during which they also become members of the OCLC EMEA Regional Council Executive Committee. During their term they advise OCLC on strategic issues and participate in both virtual and in-person meetings and may also serve on OCLC committees and working groups.
Global Council meets in person at least twice annually. The EMEA Regional Council Executive Committee meets in person in The Netherlands in late September / early October, at the EMEA Regional Council Meeting in February, and also during the Global Council Meetings. There will be virtual / teleconference meetings scheduled at other times of the year. The EMEA Regional Council Executive Committee Delegates actively participate in a Regional Membership Programme and also provide input to the planning of the annual EMEA Regional Council Meeting.
Potential candidates may be nominated by a leader from an OCLC member institution in their own country, or self-nominated. You will need your OCLC symbol to submit your nomination, as well as the OCLC symbol of the individual you are nominating.
Each member organization in the EMEA Region has one vote per qualifying member institution. If your library's voting representative has recently changed, please update the contact information of the person who will vote on behalf of your library.

The OCLC EMEA Regional Council Nominating Committee reviews and approves nominations. The Nominating Committee seeks to obtain at least two nominations for each open position that represent diversity from within the membership. Members of the 2013 Nominating Committee are listed below.
Once the Nominating Committee approves the list of candidates, they will announce the candidates who will appear on the ballot by sending a Member Update e-mail and posting the slate of candidates on the OCLC website. This announcement is scheduled for mid-January. Voting is scheduled to take place in March 2013, and election results will be announced during the OCLC Global Council Annual Meeting, tentatively planned for 23–25 April 2013.
