We are working to finalize the terms and conditions for write access to the WorldCat Registry RDF Interface and will update this page when that process is complete.

Authentication & Authorization

Most Read Access does not require authentication. However, the Find a Library operation uses WSKey Lite. Additionally, all write access requires using the Web Service Key HMAC Signature or Access Token patterns for authentication.

We are a worldwide library cooperative, owned, governed and sustained by members since 1967. Our public purpose is a statement of commitment to each other—that we will work together to improve access to the information held in libraries around the globe, and find ways to reduce costs for libraries through collaboration.
