Heard people talk about "using APIs and Web Services" and not quite sure what they were talking about? Know some basics and want to know more about the workings of web services?

Join Karen Coombs of the OCLC Developer Network as she demystifies the topic. You'll walk away understanding what an API or Web service is, what it can do and see examples of how libraries and WorldCat partners have used OCLC Web Services in apps and current services. Plus you’ll have plenty of time to ask questions and clarify your understanding on the topic. Web Services covered during the session will include those built by OCLC and others.

The session is intended to provide a baseline of understanding for technical managers and directors—although any library staff person who is curious about the topic is welcome to attend. There is no technical knowledge required to get the full benefit from the session.

The session was recorded and available online.
