OCLC’s WorldCat Search API will be down early Sunday November 7th and 14th

Dear WorldCat API implementers,

OCLC will be conducting a maintenance install this Sunday, November 7th, which typically does not affect the availability of the API service.  However, I have just been informed that this install will require that the API be down probably for about an hour sometime during the window of 2 A.M., US ET (-4 GMT) until 4 A.M. US ET (-5 GMT).  Note, because this is the point when the US changes its daylight savings time, that makes this start at the second 1am of the night making the service unavailable for about an hour sometime during those three hours.

We also want to make you aware of an additional maintenance install on Sunday, November 14th from 2-6 A.M. US ET (-5 GMT). This additional cycle is to move the WorldCat database to a new storage system. All OCLC services will be unavailable during this time including the WorldCat APIs.

We endeavor to have as little downtime as possible, these time periods are necessary.

Best regards,

Dawn
