Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer
Rick is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer. In this role, he oversees all OCLC enterprise activities related to finance, accounting, related Board of Trustees administration, human resources and administrative services, as well as organizational controls, policies and procedures. He also oversees cooperative governance, real estate holdings and OCLC’s investment portfolio.
Prior to joining OCLC in 1992, Rick was a partner with the international accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche LLP. There, he was partner-in-charge of the Columbus, Ohio office’s Emerging Business Services practice where he directed the high technology and middle market audit practice. While in Columbus, he also served as a national partner in the retail and real estate industries.
Rick serves as treasurer of the Columbus Metropolitan Library Foundation Board of Trustees and is a member of The Center for Research Libraries Budget and Finance Committee. He is a past senior trustee of the American Library Association’s Endowment Fund and past treasurer of The Center for Research Libraries Board of Directors, and also served on its Executive Committee.
Rick is President of the Dublin AM Rotary Charitable Foundation and Association for Corporate Growth Columbus (ACG). He is a member of the Chief Financial Officer Forum (CFOF) of Tech Columbus and past board member of both the Dublin Arts Council and Columbus Sister Cities International (CSCI). In 2002, he was named Business Person of the Year by the Dublin Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), The Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA) and Financial Executives International (FEI).
