Tommaso  Giordano

Tommaso Giordano is currently Deputy Director of the Library at the European University Institute in Florence.

In recent years he has been active in the field of library consortia dealing with electronic resources and long-term digital preservation programmes. He is also President of INFER (Italian Forum for Electronic Resources).

He has been President of the Italian Library Association (AIB) and member of the executive committee of EBLIDA (European Bureau of Library, Information and Documentation Associations).

He was a core member of the team that developed the SBN project (Italian Library Network) and has led several cooperative library programmes in Italy and in Europe.

He has been external professor in library management at the University of Venice and has written numerous publications on library management and networking in several languages (i.e. Italian, English, Spanish and French).
