A valid passport is required for entry into France. Participants from some countries may also require a visa for entry into France. Please contact your nearest French Consulate or Embassy for specific details.
Participants requiring a letter of invitation in order to attend the Meeting are requested to ensure that they tick this box on the registration form. A letter will be sent to you and this must be submitted to the relevant Embassy together with a copy of your registration confirmation. However, if this document is not suitable, please email Sandra.smith@oclc.org with the additional details to be added.
Please note that this procedure aims to assist participants who need to obtain a visa or permission to attend the Meeting. It is not an official invitation covering fees and other expenses, nor does it imply any financial support from the EMEA Regional Council.
The website of the France Diplomatie offers helpful information with regard to visa applications.
Please make arrangements for your visa as soon as possible. The procedure may take longer than expected for various reasons.
When filling out the forms, please make sure that you do not claim that you are coming to work in the United Kingdom, even though visiting an EMEA Regional Council Meeting may be considered work. Entering the country as a Tourist is the most suitable approach.
