OCLC Research invites staff from OCLC Research Library Partner institutions—those who are attending the IDCC meeting, or any Partner staff who are in San Francisco on Wednesday, 26 February for whatever reason—to our reception.

RSVP

This free reception will take place from 5-7 p.m. at the California Historical Society, 678 Mission Street, San Francisco—just a 10-15 minute walk from the IDCC conference hotel (the Omni San Francisco). There are many public transportation and parking options for those coming from other locations.

We hope you’ll join us for an open bar, appetizers, a chance to socialize with your colleagues, and an opportunity to chat with OCLC Research staff and catch up on some projects underway.  Choose to sit in on informal overviews of these current projects:  Registering Researchers in Authority Files, ArchiveGrid, Wikipedia and Libraries, and Gleaning Insights from Mining MARC Data.  We welcome your questions and input and are eager to hear what you've been up to.

As an added attraction, you can view the new California Historical Society exhibit that follows Juana Briones—a resourceful pioneer, mother, landowner, business woman, and humanitarian—through the social, economic, political, and legal upheavals of nineteenth-century California.

We hope to see you there! Please RSVP if you plan to join us.  Contact Jeanette McNicol with questions.
