OCLC Research to Host Free Wikipedia Loves Libraries Event 10 am-3 pm 8 December at the Seattle Public Library

OCLC Research Wikipedian in Residence Max Klein organized this event to continue to build momentum for the Wikipedia Loves Libraries initiative, a continent-wide campaign to bring Wikipedia and libraries together with on-site events. Senior Program Officer Merrilee Proffitt will also attend.

This Wikipedia Loves Libraries event will convene previously-participating and new Librarians and Wikipedians at the Seattle Public Library in Seattle, Washington to steer direction and brainstorm new project ideas. All are welcome to attend this free event but advanced registration is required and space is limited. Register to attend or see the Wikipedia Meetup Seattle webpage for more information.

We are a worldwide library cooperative, owned, governed and sustained by members since 1967. Our public purpose is a statement of commitment to each other—that we will work together to improve access to the information held in libraries around the globe, and find ways to reduce costs for libraries through collaboration.
