RDA for the Seasoned Cataloger: Audiovisual Materials (Minitex)

Course Overview

As with other formats, audiovisual cataloging will continue to carry on many AACR2 practices under RDA, but will see some changes too. This 3-part, self-paced workshop introduces the new cataloging standard to experienced copy catalogers and original catalogers, aiming particular attention to the descriptive portions of the MARC bibliographic record. The training content for this online course is delivered over a three week period beginning September 26, 2012.

The registration fee for staff and institutions in the Minitex region varies: for Minnesota and North Dakota, it is $110; for South Dakota and Wisconsin, $125. For those outside the region, the fee is $150 (US dollars). This fee applies to the three-part course as a whole.

Schedule: The workshop is divided into three parts and delivered over a three week period. For each part you are given six days, including a weekend, to complete the training materials. Your access to Moodle will continue for about one week after the workshop’s conclusion.
