Several OCLC systems are experiencing access and/or response time problems. We are working on resolving the issues as soon as possible and will update this alert as we have more information.

The OCLC network is now accessible and access to our products and services has been restored. We apologize for the inconvenience the access issues have caused you.

Scheduled: WorldShare applications maintenance outage

AFFECTED SERVICES: WorldShare Management Services, Record Manager, Collection Manager

WorldShare applications will be unavailable beginning Sunday, July 20th, 2:00 am EDT as we deploy the quarterly release of WMS and updates to IDM.

This will affect OCLC’s worldwide data centers as follows:
US & Canadian Data Centers: 20 July 02:00 Eastern (EDT)
European Data Center: 20 July 07:00 Central European (CET)
Australian Data Center: 20 July 17:00 Australian Eastern (AEDT)

We anticipate all services to be restored by 07:00 EDT / 12:00 CET / 22:00 AEDT, but may require an additional contingency until 10:00 EDT to complete testing.

Please wait until you receive the "all systems are up" message (which will posted to the USC) letting you know when the install is complete before logging onto to WorldShare.

For WMS libraries:
New features and enhancements included in this release can be found in the Release Notes. Post-release update sessions are scheduled for next week to provide more information about this release.

Libraries operating 24/7 can continue circulation activities using the offline circulation client as appropriate. See Offline Circulation Client (http://www.oclc.org/support/help/circulation/default.htm#Checkin_checkout/offline_client.htm) for more information.

This maintenance will not affect patrons' ability to access and search within WorldCat Local.
