December 19 Sneak Preview: New WorldCat Link Resolver User Interface

At this session, Steve McCann, Product Analyst at OCLC, gave a preview of the new version of the A-Z list and link resolver that will be released in early January.

This event has passed.

Optimized for mobile devices, the new interface allows researchers to discover and access your library’s electronic resources from the platform of their choice. The link resolver is available to users of the WorldCat knowledgebase who subscribe to WMS, WorldCat Local, License Manager and, coming soon, FirstSearch.

Attendees of this event learned the following:

  • How to identify your current version of the link resolver
  • Necessary steps for migration if you are using an older version
  • Where to find your library-specific “base URL” as required by vendors
  • How the new interface will help users and staff.
