OCLC WorldShare® Interlibrary Loan is a new service that will replace WorldCat Resource Sharing, as part of libraries' existing subscriptions. The service centralizes workflows now managed in multiple systems, and will provide new functionality that speeds fulfillment of interlibrary loan requests and saves time for library staff and library users.

OCLC Support upgrades telephone prompts for more personalized and streamlined support

As of June 21, 2013, OCLC users who call OCLC Support (in North America)—including technical support, training, library services, billing and order processing—can select from a new set of prompts. Easier and faster for users to navigate, the new streamlined options will feature the following capabilities:

  • Select a Spanish-language option.
  • Dial a known extension to contact a specific support representative.
  • The system will tell you how many members are ahead of you in queue.
  • Bypass the queue and enter your direct phone number so that you may be contacted as soon as a support staff member becomes available.
