The form of communication through which a work is expressed. Used in conjunction with Type, which indicates the general type of content of the resource. Field 336 information enables expression of more specific content types and content types from various lists. Multiple content types should be recorded in separate occurrences of field 336. If the term appearing in the field is from a translated version of the original source document or list, the code must be followed by the appropriate 3-character MARC language code from the MARC Code List for Languages. The language code is separated from the subfield ǂ2 code by a slash.
