Information about the replacement bibliographic record in a deleted record. The replacement title(s) may be contained in subfield(s) ǂa with corresponding control number(s) in subfield(s) ǂw. When a bibliographic record is deleted, in some cases the bibliographic records and holdings records related to the bibliographic record can be automatically redirected to another bibliographic record in local systems. To be able to manage the redirection process, the users of the bibliographic record update services need the number of the replacement bibliographic record as additional information in the deleted record. Field 882 does not remain in the WorldCat record. It is retained in exported records and records delivered via other services. |
