WorldCat Search API 2.0 initial release available

The WorldCat Search API 2.0 supports much of the core functionality of the original WorldCat Search API in a streamlined JSON format. The API also allows enhanced access to local holdings record data across the cooperative, including shared print retention information.

Access to version 1.0 of the WorldCat Search API will end on 31 December 2024.  The WorldCat Search API 2.0, along with other OCLC APIs and services, now provide enhanced features that surpass the capabilities of the WorldCat Search API 1.0. For detailed information on recommended transition paths for specific uses of the API, please visit WorldCat Search API 1.0 transition resources.
