Collection Management API transition resources
Support for the Collection Management API will end 1 April 2026. OCLC recommends customers begin transitioning to the Worldcat Metadata API as soon as possible. The WorldCat Metadata API is much more modern, flexible, and robust.
We acknowledge that a common use case for the WMS Collection Management API has been a spine label printing solution. This feature is supported natively in Record Manager, WMS Circulation or WMS Acquisitions.
About WorldCat Metadata API
- Modern authentication technology patterns of OAuth 2.0 to support different types of client applications.
- Support for reading and writing bibliographic, local bibliographic, and local holdings data
