Make your library smarter with inspiration from ARC17

Presenters, attendees, and guests at the 2017 Americas Regional Council meeting in Baltimore, Maryland, shared ideas, stories, examples, and challenges that helped us all better define what makes for smarter libraries. Whether you couldn’t attend—or were there and want to see all the parallel break-outs—take a look at the presentations, visual summary images, and video links, below. There was a lot of “smart” in the room, and we hope you can take advantage of what we learned for use at your library.

Graphic recorder illustrations

We asked ARC17 attendees to share their insights on “what it takes to become a smarter library” and used those insights to create a visual summary to fuel our closing plenary session. Both visual summaries created by our graphic recorder are now available for download.
