Lorely Ambriz
Head Librarian/Assistant Professor, El Paso Community College
Since 2014, Lorely currently works as a full-time tenured track faculty librarian for El Paso Community College (EPCC), and since 2017, she is the Head Librarian of a dual mission academic and public library- for the EPCC Northwest Campus Library and the Jenna Welch Community Library. Simultaneously, Lorely serves remotely as an adjunct faculty for the Arizona State University/Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation and its Center for Innovation in Healthy & Resilient Aging. From 2014-2019, she was adjunct faculty at ASU's WHO Collaborating Centre to Advance the Policy on Research for Health. She has vast international experiences in the Americas due to her former job at the Pan American Health Organization/Regional Office of the World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) US-Mexico Border Office, as an Alliances Development and Knowledge Management Specialist, where for almost 10 years, she led international initiatives related to information dissemination, communication technologies, multimedia, and mass media campaign development, and for border-wide research promotion.
