OCLC named among 'Best Places to Work' in Central Ohio
OCLC ranked among 'Best' in region, nation
DUBLIN, Ohio, 3 November 2021—OCLC, the global library technology and research organization based in Dublin, has been named among the "Best Places to Work" in Central Ohio. It is the eighth time OCLC has been recognized with this award, and comes months after OCLC was named among the nation's Best Places to Work in IT.
OCLC is ranked fifth in the category for organizations with 250 or more employees in Central Ohio. The rankings are determined by workplace satisfaction surveys completed confidentially by employees along with data collected by Quantum Workplace, an Omaha, Nebraska-based research organization. Awards were presented today by Columbus Business First.
"OCLC has been a library technology leader for decades by continuing to innovate and grow," said Skip Prichard, OCLC President and CEO. "OCLC is a rare blend of technology, research, and mission. We innovate and promote collaboration through technology to ensure that libraries around the world can deliver access to information for their users. We are committed to providing an inclusive work environment with extraordinary benefits for our exceptionally dedicated and talented staff. We are honored to again be recognized as a best place to work."
OCLC provides state-of-the-art technologies and services, research, and community programs to libraries of all types and sizes. Together, thousands of OCLC member libraries in more than 100 countries support access to the world's collected knowledge.
Earlier this year, OCLC was named among the prestigious IDG's Insider Pro and Computerworld 2021 Best Places to Work in IT. It was the 12th time OCLC has been selected as one of Computerworld's top workplaces for information technology professionals.
