Put libraries at the center of teaching and learning
Edge Hill University libraries wanted to help faculty better connect to library resources in ways that would promote student success. Prior to choosing Talis Aspire and WorldShare® Management Services (WMS), reading list functionality was unsatisfactory. Lack of clear policies and the need for local technical support made for a situation where faculty tended to reject the process, believing it too cumbersome and limited.
After selecting Talis Aspire based on its features and ease-of-use, Edge Hill used the opportunity to engage with faculty more actively. By working with teachers and administrators, they were able to showcase library offerings, provide a means for subject librarians to partner more successfully with their instructional counterparts, and achieve a higher status for the library on campus.
