Description

In this webinar, representatives from Syracuse University will share how the Libraries are partnering with the Office of Research to provide a growing array of research support services, including grant development training, researcher profile management, research impact, and reputation management. By developing strong relationships and advocating for each other’s services across campus, the Libraries and the Office of Research have discovered how much more they can do together as a team than apart. Librarians will discuss how their unit responded and structurally reorganized to optimize service provision in a rapidly changing environment, and leaders in the Office of Research will share how they collaborated with the Libraries to enhance recently established services on campus. This presentation will also include specific examples of how these two units collaborate--through workshops, referrals, outreach, and more.

This webinar is part of a series offered by the OCLC Research Library Partnership focusing on cross-campus collaboration in research support, in conjunction with the publication Social Interoperability in Research Support: Cross-campus partnerships and the university research enterprise, which examines the growing imperative for cross-campus, cross-domain institutional collaboration in the provision of successful research support services.

This webinar will be of interest to anyone interested in cultivating positive campus partnerships to support research activities. We expect this to be of particular interest to those that work in a research support role, as well as  library leaders.

Works in Progress: An OCLC Research Occasional Webinar Series to talk about work happening in OCLC Research – we'd like to present our work informally and get feedback from you, our Partners. We'd also like this to be a venue for Partner institutions. What are you working on that everyone should know about? What input would help you move forward? Let us know!
