RLP Leadership Roundtable: Bibliometrics and research impact
In this 90-minute discussion, RLP affiliates will discuss how their libraries are supporting research analytics.
This event has passed. Registration provided to nominated individuals only
Description
Bibliometrics and research impact (BRI) is an emerging area of interest for research libraries and their parent institutions. This discussion will focus on how libraries are supporting the bibliometrics and research analytics needs of both researchers and administrative units.
Following a traditional roundtable format, representative(s) from each institution will offer brief comments about their interests and activities related to the topic. These are not formal presentations; the focus is on information sharing. We may need to limit each group’s comments in order to manage time.
Participants are asked particularly to consider:
- What types of bibliometrics and research impact services does your library provide (to researchers and/or administrative units)?
- How are you (or your institution) staffing these positions? How are you partnering across campus?
- Do you license products to support BRI? What is most useful for your institution?
- What’s on your roadmap?
- What are your challenges and where do you need support?
