Description

This presentation shares findings from a research project to assess the participation of community-centered archives in digital collection aggregations and online exhibitions. The findings are based on a survey of Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) Hub participation policies, and a survey and interviews with representatives from community-centered archives and organizations doing archival projects. Presenters reflect on what they learned that motivated them to change the nature and scope of the deliverables on the project, including the challenges and needs faced by community-centered archives and guidelines for collaboration between community-based organizations and larger institutions

This webinar will be of interest to information professionals seeking to collaborate with community-centered archives and organizations.

All affiliates of OCLC Research Library Partnership organizations are invited to participate.
