Kate James
Program Coordinator-Metadata Engagement
Kate James joined OCLC in November 2022. She is currently OCLC’s liaison to Standing Committee on Training of the Program for Cooperative Cataloging (PCC) and works with the RLP Metadata Managers Focus Group.
Prior to OCLC, Kate worked at the Library of Congress in the Policy and Standards Division. She has extensive experience with RDA: Research Description and Access, serving as the RDA Examples Editor from 2013-2019 and creating and teaching the American Library Association webinars the “RDA Lab Series.” Kate has a Master of Library and Information Science degree from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Classics from Georgetown University.
